The Flutter Palette: Midnight Version 🦋

I’m so thrilled to introduce Volume 2 of The Flutter Palette, my collaboration with watercolor artist Jean Choe.

Inspired by the delicate beauty and incredible colors of butterflies, this second edition brings back the beloved colors from the original Flutter Palette with one new addition: Midnight Wings, created especially for Volume 2.

Paint Midnight Wings over the colors in our Flutter Palette to transform them into shimmering butterfly wings, or use it on its own for delicate washes of blue-violet light. On white paper, the shimmer is soft and luminous; on black or other dark papers, Midnight Wings truly comes alive with a rich, dramatic shift.

The Palette Includes

9 handcrafted Letter Sparrow watercolors:

• Quin Magenta PR122- mini pan

• Nova PO62- mini pan

• Hansa Yellow PY-1 mini pan

• Titan Buff PW6:1— standard pan

• Phthalo Green PG7- mini pan

• Turquoise Blue PB28 - mini pan

• Lavender Blue PB29- standard pan

• Midnight Wings — NEW standard pan (iridescent blue-violet)

• Black Ochre PBk11— mini pan

Titan Buff and Black Ochre have swapped pan sizes from Volume 1, giving you more Titan Buff and a mini Black Ochre.

Each palette includes a compact Pocket Palette (approx. 3 5/8" × 2 1/2") with a 2x2 inch XL mixing pan, removable magnetic pans, and a smooth mixing surface on the lid.

Jean also created a new butterfly artwork for the iridescent lid sticker, making this edition extra special. Each palette also includes bonus 3x4 inch watercoloring pages from Jean (one white and one black) for you to enjoy with your new colors.
