Since 2016, I specialize in creating and selling high-quality, handmade watercolor paints using only non-toxic materials.
Letter Sparrow is an independent studio creating handmade, artist‑grade watercolor paints using carefully selected pigments and traditional paint‑making methods.
Each color is hand‑mulled and poured in small batches to achieve rich pigment load, smooth re‑wetting, and expressive flow — qualities watercolor artists look for when choosing professional paints.
Unlike factory‑made paints, Letter Sparrow focuses on:
- Single‑pigment and thoughtfully balanced blends (although I do make custom mixes too!)
- Natural granulation and movement
- Pigments chosen for lightfastness and performance
- A curated palette rather than overwhelming quantity
Every pan is poured, dried, and labeled by hand in Texas, making each set slightly unique — just like the artists who use them.
