Orchid

Delicate, luminous, and wonderfully floral, Orchid is a soft pink-violet watercolor made by blending Quinacridone Magenta with Titanium White.

A little brighter and more vibrant than a traditional pastel, Orchid has the beautiful jewel-like character of quinacridone magenta softened into a gentle, dreamy shade. It brings a touch of color without overwhelming a painting, making it especially lovely for flowers, petals, botanicals, ribbons, and soft details.

Use Orchid in delicate washes for a barely-there floral tint, or build it up for a richer rosy violet. It pairs beautifully with greens, blues, warm yellows, and earthy neutrals.
