Butter

Soft, creamy, and sunny — Butter is a delicate yellow watercolor mixed from Lemon Yellow and Titanium White to create the perfect pale, buttery yellow.

This is the kind of yellow that brings warmth without becoming loud. It has the cheerful glow of fresh lemon softened with creamy white, making it especially lovely for florals, botanicals, food illustrations, vintage-inspired artwork, and anywhere you want a gentle wash of golden light.

Butter is beautiful on its own in soft washes, but it also makes a wonderful light yellow for layering and adding highlights. Try it alongside deeper yellows and earth colors for a warm, natural palette, or pair it with greens and blues for a fresh spring-like combination.
